(Per. Press Association.} WELLINGTON, July 5. A peculiar case under the Immigration Restriction Act was settled this morning. The Customs authorities refused to allow a seaman of the Union Company's Waipori to land, on the ground that he was suffering; from tuberculosis, and was not a resident of New Zealand. •Tho M?nister of Public Health finds that, though th& man was originally shipped -at Sydney, he has, for some t-ime, been on the ship's articles from New Zealand ports, and is also a registered elector of the Dominion.. The Minister, therefore, decided to let him land.
