AUCKLAND, July 4
It is probable, in consequence of the Canterbury Hockey Association refusing to give the Auckland Association any guarantee, that the Auckland v. Canterbury representative -match set down for decision at Christchurch on August 19th, will be abandoned, and a match with Southland at Invercargill substituted. The latter body has offered the Aucklanders substantial financial assistance.
