The following sentences have been passed in connection with the robbery from the warship Indomitable, cabled on April 14th:—William Twomey, a petty officer, five years' penal servitude, on a charge of stealing; Alston, a leading seaman, and .Ethel Stagles, a married woman, 12 months' and three months' respectively on charges of receiving. (A cable received on April loth stated that four men, including a petty officer possessing a burglar's outfit, had been remanded on a charge of theft from the warship Indomitable.) MESSINA, July 1.
Further earthquake shocks have been experienced at Reggio, and the inhabitants are panic stricken. Several were injured, and some buried under falling walls.
