At a meeting of tlie Council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic As.*o« ciation to-night an application by O. G. Evans (.Dunedin) for reinstatement was referred to the Reinstatement Committee for a report to be submitted to the Australasian Union. ' ; .
The team selected recently to repre-; sent the Dominion at the -Brisbane, Championship meeting was approved.
A sub-committee ivas appointed ,ta consider the balance-sheet forwarded by the late Council at Christclmrcn. Jt was recommended that a receijDt be given to Messrs Hoare and Grierson for the effects, but in reference to certain items of expenditure, such as travelling expenses and honorarium, the Council cannot relinquish the right to take such action as may be decided upon by the affiliated centres. The Vommittee expressed the opinion, however, that in view of all the circumstances no. goodwould be done by further purs\iing the matter. The report was adopted.
