A CHILD DROWNED.
BLENHEIM, July 1
A child named Constance Bright, 3| years of age, was drowned in the Awatea. River this morning. A trap, containing Mr Bright, his wife, and their three children, was crossing the' river when it capsized. All but the baby got safely ashore, but the latter was swept away and drowned.
