A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Mary's .Church on ; Tuesday last, .when Mr Georg© "Ballance Parsoris,; youngest son of the late Mr A. J. Parsons, of AVanganui; was marrJed to Miss Lucy Wixey, youngest daughter of Mr Thomas Wixey, of Wanganui. Tlie bride was attired in a lovely gown of white chiffon taffeta, trimmed with laco and chiffon, and an embroidered veil, with wreath. She was attended by Misses Woods and Alice Allpress, who wore cream" minon gowns, trimmed with lace and ribbonis, and "Merry Widow" hats. Mr M. T. Suiter acted as best man and Mr B. Allpress as groomsman. At tho, conclnsion of the ceremony, which was performed by Rev Father Mahoney, the guests were entertained :at the residence; Wilson^ Street, of the bride's parents. Mr and Mrs Parsons afterwards left by the mail train for Wellington, en .route to Sydney, where they will catch the Macedonia for London. We wish the 'newly-married couple a long and happy wedded life. Itis.with regret we announce the death of Mr Charles ,E. Burke, who passed ihvrsir at the Hospital on Tliursday, at the aige, o£ 47 years. The deceased served his apprentwsship as a compositor on our staff and subsequently was engaged in the t-rade in the Taranaki district.
