OUTBREAK NOT AIMED AT THE
CONSTITUTION
CONSTANTINOPLE, April It
Javer Pasha, Commandant of Constantinople, has succeeded Madmud Nukhtar as commander of the first army corps. Order has now been restored, and the troops are saluting the Deputies, showing that the movement is not aimed at the Constitution.
The processionists on Tuesday asked the Sultan to go to Stamboul and wear a green turban in token of his respect for the Mohammedan religion.
A small force of Russia Cossacks has been sent to Meshad to protect foreigners.
