NAPIER, -April 15. An inquest was held this mornings before Mr H. W. Brabant, coroner, on the late Claiidius Walter Cato, who. died yesterday3 as the result of a revolver shot. *
Constable Hodgson stated that he searched' the clothing of the deceased,, and found two promissory notes, a telegram, and a memo relating to money matters. The telegram was signed "Cooks, Auckland," and stated: "Bank wires your cheque not provided for. Reply."
The Coroner returned the |o;llawing' verdict:—" That the debased $e^Wv .the,, effects of a bullet" woipid; > wound traversed the brain and was inflicted by himself." '■ ■
