TOWN CLERK'S ANNUAL REPORT.
In his annual report presented to the Borough Council last evening, the Town Clerk stated that the debit balanco had increased during the year from L 6158 14s to 1,674-) 15s iod. Receipts from the Opora House, Cook's Gardens, weighbridge, and licenses had increased ._ Expenditure on works and services exceeded by £1100 that of the previous year. The gasworld showed a gross profit for the year of £1543 12s lOd. After transferring £2000 to the general account and, paying £1928 10s for extensions to p'aiit, the year with a credit balance of £622 2s 4d.
The tramway account shows a credit balance of £811 19s lid, but no charge has been made for interest, this being payable but of the loan. Tho interest and sinking fund on the total loans would bo £825.
