GENERAL ADVANCE IN PRICES

Received March 29, 1.30 a.m. LONDON, March 28. At the wool sales, just closed, 187,000 -bales were offered. Of these 95,000 ■wer,e sold for the Home market, 69,000 for the Continent, 18,000 for America, and 12,500 held over. Compared with the closing rates, of the February series, superior greasy merinos advanced 5 per cent., medium 10, inferior 7£ to 10, superior scoured 1\ to 10, medium inferior and all fine halfbreds 10 to 15, medium crossbreds 5 to 7£, coarse 5, and all lambs wool 5 to 7£ per cent.
