WELLINGTON WOOL, SKIN, HIDES, AND TALLOW SALES.

The usual fortnightly sales, were held to-day, when fair sized catalogues were submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Bidding was brisk for: wool and sound skins and hides, but faulty lots were rather neglected. We offered 50 bales and a number of bags of wool, and disposed of nearly all at prices a shade over last sales rates. Hides; are lower 'by id to id per lb. We quote:— Wool.—Coarse crossbred s^d to 6d, lambs inferior 5d to s£d, lambs crutchings 3id to 4d, locks and pieces lid to 2fd.
Sheepskins. —Fine crossbred C^d to 7d, coarse and medium sj-d to 6d, lambs 4^d to 6Jd, dead and broken skins 3d to sd, quarter to half-woolled 5d to; s|d, damaged pelts Id to 3jd, green skins Is 9d to 3s 2d.
. Hides. —Ox medium 5d to s{d, cow heavy.'. 5d to. o^d, cow and light ox 4£d, to sd; damaged hides 2rl to 4^d, calfskins sound 6d to 6£d, do. faulty Id to 4d. .
Tallow. —In casks in shipping order £23 10s to £24 per ton, fat in boxes and tins 20s to 20s 6d per cwt.
