(From Our Own. Correspondent.) Settlers will h? very pleased to see that after about two "years of talking tho Road Beard have made a s^art with, tho gravelling of the Valley Road They aro starting at tho Creamery bridge end are gcing to inn down as far as tho number of yards (2500) will tako it, which will fix lip tl;e worst part of the road. I hope they will not take so long in getting cut the next ccntraot.
Mr Tom Blonnerhassott was tli? successful tenderer for tho road formation contract on the Puao Rood; and illcontractor hope? to start very scon. I wish him luck.
Tho Road Board havo decided to do about threo chains of gravelling on th? school hill so as to do" away with that bop; holp at tho top of Un lull. I trust thny will tap that spring in the road before they put the gravel on. They hnvo also decided to gravel the bad ix*:id on block 4 road, which will b? a f;r<\it improvement.
The. local hall committee ay:> holding r>. r-ccial on Friday night, and I trust they will have a" I.it better . weather tlum last time.
