THE ROYAL WELSH MALE CHOIR.
Enthusiasm, which displays itself in the encoring of every number en tho programme, denotes a very pronounced appreciation. That a well-balanced, and beautifully toned choir of twentytwo male voices should be unreservedly praised for their sentiment and sounatrained display, by recognised English American and Australian musical critics, argues the attainment of perfection. With this reputation preceding them the far-famed Royal Welsh Male Choir will appeal to the susceptibilities of our great" music-loving public, and the advent of this remarkable band of vocalists at the Opera.House, Wanganui, on Friday and Saturday next, under the experienced direction of Messrs J. and N. Tait, will" awaken chords of responsive interest. Extremely popular is Mr W. Thomas, the gifted conductor of the choir, .who, by his democratic methods, has endeared himself to his talented combination. Associated with them from the choir's' inception— -23 years ago—lie is .regarded tho rock upon which tbis^ foundation of the choristers' reputation has been built. Nuniberma; 22,; cf the sweetest, male voice:;-' which' 1 blend into a marvellous ehsembln. an art'stic achievement of wonderful merit results. According to excellent judges fine pianissimos, shading and working up : to. grand climaxes distinguish the efforts of these singers. Brisbane /'Telegraph' said: "It is no exaggeration to say that finer singing has never previously been heard in this part of the wo^Jd . . ;-v the Choir's rendering of devotional numbers being superb."
