The Mayor of Oliristchurch will entertain his Excellency Admiral Sir , Richard Poore at an official banquet -in. the City. "Council Chambers during his stay in Christchurch. It is with sincere regret that we announce the death, at Marton, yesterday, of - Mrs Joseph Northover, at the age of 56. Tho deceased lady, who suffered a.long and painful illness, .was a daughter of the late Major Neill, oF Wanganui, and was widely known and respected throughout the district.
