A DRAWN GAME

A passing rush by Wanganui was stopped by Revel, wno found the line. From a scrum play was transferred to the home 25, but Williams relieved, and the Wanganui line was attacked. (Play was even, good passing and dribbling rushes being noticeable on botli sides. Strong kicking on the part of Wanganui set the ball in motion time after time, but was repeatedly returned by Revell. A forcible rush by the local men seemed likely to result in a certain score, but Dowe stopped and found the well away from the danger zone. The next interesting item was a fine rush by the visiting forwards, but they were stopped. After a free kick, centre play saw the Wanganui captain heading a fast passing rush, Slight and Richardson assisting. Mixed play ensured, Munro (Awarua) dribbling the ball, but failing to score. Wanganui made a big rush, but the Awarua forwards removed the game from their line to midfield. Scrums were now frequent, and as the result one D. Laehy dribled to the Wanganui line, where P. Laehy scored.
For some time after this the home team made the pace a hot one, but could
