At the Magistrate's Court yesterday, John William Bishop, alias Brown,, who was employed a5 fireman and greaser on the steamer Rotoiti, pleaded guilty tn a_ charge of stealing from the Rovpl Hotel, Wellington, a Gladstone bap- and ]ts contents, valued at £25, the property of Chief Detective Mcllveney. Accused was remanded to the Supreme Court for sentence. :
