AUCKLAND, September 1. A young girl, whose parents reside at Waihi, was in town during Fleet Week, and took her young brother out to see the sights. In tho crowd she lost sight or' him, and subsequently heard that, he had been injured and taken to the hospital. The shock and sense of her failure ,tp. carry .out. the trust of her young relative preyed so much on her mind that when she got home she swallowed some match heads, and had, as a result, to ,be taken herself to the hospital. When the , case was called in Court it was explained that she had but recently recovered from a severe attack of enteric fever, and as she appeared to have regained her mental balance the girls was allowed to return to the care of her relatives.
