THE ROYAL PICTURES.

The fact that the Royal Pictures Syndicate intends paying regular visits to Wanganui, and that on each occasion absolutely new ''programmes will be shown should be appreciated. The Syn.dicate is enabled to do this by reason of. importing 10,000 -feet-of film every week. Arrangements have been made' whereby the Royal Pictures obtain all tho latest novelties in the moving picture world; thus amusement-seekers in Wanganui will see every week the latest that can be obtained in this class of entertainment. A picture of" special interest is that of the American Fleet in San Francisco. This picture shows the fleet entering the Golden Gate, the landing of the Admiral and officers, the floral' decorations of the city, the ensemble of motor cars, the manoeuvring of the cruisers- and the battle of flow-, ers, in which the officers joined. This' picture is the only one of the Fleet exhibited in New Zealand. The pictures of the King and Queen at the FrancoBritish Exhibition are said to be the best ever shown, His Majesty having graciously posed especially for the operator. The French President, Prince and Princess of Wales, Earl Dudley (Australia's new Governor-General) are also prominent. The " star '^dramatic picture ia "Blue and Grey,*' a splendidly toned subject, and others of this class are " The Viking's Bride" and " For a Crown." In « Grandfather's Pills " the company is said to have even a greater laughter-maker than the famous ft Lost Child."
