ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER.

Accused then went up the street, and later on was overtaken by George Mubbard, who said' he believed the accused had firearms on him. Accused replied in the negative, but, Hubbard expressed his intention of searching Jwn. Acco^ing to Hubbard accused then pointed the revolver at his stomach, but Hubbard-knocked his hand dow_n and the bullet went between. Hubbards legs. When accused was arrest ed, ho handed the police-sergeant a letter containing his will. Accused, who reserved' his defence, was committed for trial on ea- charge An application for bail was refused
