WANGANUI RUGBY UNION.
The Management ,;Oommittee of the Rugby Union met last'croning.,' There were present Mr G. Spriggena (president) and Messrs Tilley, Gray, Bell, Bassett, Markham, Craig, Wainwright, and Simpson.' An apology for absence was received from. Mr G. Ppwnall. The minutes of the last meeting wore read and confirmed.
THURSDAY MATOH.-A representative match between tie Wanganui and Taranaki junior representatives will bo played on the Recreation Ground on Thursday. Both teams will be entertained to dinner at the Criterion Hotel the same evening. ENTERTAINMENT.—It was "decided to entertain the "Wellington and Southland teams to dinner on the evenings of their respective matches.
MANAWATU MATCH.—Tho rep. match, Wahganui"Vl' Manawatii, will bo played at Feilding instead of Palmerston on Saturday. Mr, Bell was appointed manager. Mr McLean will be asked to . referee. .TO^GARIRO.—It was decided to grant the request of Tongariro, and iptnx- anew sub-union for their district next season.
ST. MARY'S.— Permission wa-s granted.to the St. Mary's Club to play a team from Auckland on the Recreation Ground on September 3rd ; 1 also1, to play St. Patrick's College at Wellington on August 22nd..
PRBiARY SCHOOLS,—It was decided that the Primary SohooJs rep. match bo played on August 22nd as a curtain raiser before the match against Wellington. , , .
Wanganui 111.7- Permission was granted to the Wanganui 111. team to play a Feilding team on Saturday, 15th inst. ■~■■. :
TOUR.—Mr Tilley was appointed to manage the team while on tbux.
PlßATES.—Resobred that a letter bo sent to Pirato Club, asking why the third and fourth, teams travelled to Palmerston. on Saturday without permission, and that -an explanation be given. : ■.
