The Rev. 'H. E. Kempton/ of - St. '.:- George s Chapel, Canterbury, England, has accepted a call to the Baptist Tabernacle, Auckland. He has laboured most successfully in Canterbury for tho past eleven years, and has attracted large congregations.

Misa Ethel Rogers, D.M.S.Y., has been *• appointed organist of St. Mary's in place of Mrs. T. Lloyd, who lias resigned. Miss Rogers is late organist at St. John Berchniann's, Cambertt'ell, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Neylon will leave > Wanganui on February sth on a tour through the Continent., England, and f America. They will join the- Orontes, which leaves Sydney on the 19th of next mouth.

Mr. J. E. Armstrong, head clerk in the Chief Traffic Manager's office of the Railway Department, has been transferred to "Wanganui as traffic manager, and arrived to take up his new position. Mr. W. Stringleman, traffic manager at V.'anganui, has been appointed Kelievmg District Traffic Manager on the headquarters staff.

Mr. George S. Davies, who wilt b© remembered by all old residents of the district, has just returned to Wamganui after an absence of 32 years, during which time he has been in North Queensland. Mr. Davis is a son of the late Mr. T. Hudson Davis. Curing his long residence in Queensland, fair. Davis held responsible positions as drrisional board.and county clerk.
