TWO GREAT ARTISTS
Andrew Black and Leopold Premyslav, two eminent artists, each a master in his own domain, will be heard m this town on Tuesday, June 18th. They are both striking personalities or the concert platform. Mr. Black, with Ins oinotional outbursts, never too frantic oi^orcibly. hard, nor, on the other hand, never dull or level, stands out in England to-day as the finest oratorio and ballad singer of his time. Premyslav, the young.Pole, has already won recognition in nearly every country of the world. He has played at concerts with Hans Richters orchestra in Manchester, and he has recently given three concerts before the Indian Viceroy and a room full of Rajahs. In the United States he has had many successes, and is there fast persuading the people that a rival to the greatest of fiddlers has appeared. The big combination will •have the added attraction of a charming pianiste from Charters Towers, Queensland, Miss Bessie Beattie, and tho favourite New Zealand soprano, Miss Rosina Buckmann. A bumper •house is sure to greet this fine 1 company, at the Wanganui public invariably rise to the occasion when something exceptional offers.
