FINDINGS OF THE COURT

AUCKLAND, June 10. Tho Nautical Court's decision in the collision between the Hotomahana and Kestral absolved the Kestrel from blame and ordered the Rotomahana to pay tho costs. In the collision between tho steamer Kanieri and the ketch Dawn, the Court apportions the costs three-quarters to be paid by the Dawn and one-fourth to bo paid by the Kanieri. The Court did not deal with the officers' certificates, these being the first cases in which the harbour regulations have been brought in question. The Court expressed the opinion that article 25 of the collision regulations, re- | lating to narrow channels, applied to I the Auckland Harbour entrance only.
