WANGANUI V. AWARUA.

Yesterday a return match was played between the above teams on Ocok'e Gardens. The wicket was a very fair one. Wanganui batted first, and were dismissed for 108 runs, Luxfbrd 20, Lorey 20, Mackay; 16, A. N. Cave 14, and Cargill 11 being the double figure men. The bowling* was very good, Whittle and Williams being particularly well on the spot. Awarua's innings was a procession, the side being, jout for 17. L. P. Cave and Cargill cam© out with the remarkable averages of 2 for 1 and 9 for 13 respectively. In thee follow on, Wanganui s best bowling talent was not called on, and a total of 70 was secured.
