HIGHLAND RIFLES
All members of the above corps are particularly requested to attend the Government inspection parade oh Tuesday night next. It will ako be classed as a special muster parade, and as such a,l Government property, as follows, nfle and bayonet, haversack, waterbottle, waist belt, and pouch, must be worn and accounted for; and as each. Volunteer of all ranks must re-signr. for the same, it is imperative that every member is present. No excusefor absence can be given, except in cases of sickness cr pressure of private business, and only those cases will berecognised if accompanied by a medical certificate cr letter from an employer. A. fine of 10>. for absence will be enforced unless under the special conditions mentioned. No other opportunity will ba given members to account for all Government property. A special meeting for important business will? be held after parade. Those non-commissioned. officeTs taking their practical examination underfe.S. Major Peacock thessame night areasked to attend at the-Drill Hall on Monday evening next at 8 o'clock sharp, in mufti, with rifles. Members who fired their first stageof the "steadying practice" last Saturday are notified that theia- scores will not count towards the trophies and prizes awarded (for the annual courses of musketry) since that date by thebhootuig Committee. They will, therefore, require to firo again this after--noon in cirdesr to be eligible to compete m the first competition. Tho Signalling Squad will meet after-' the muster parade on Tuesday night, for transaction of important business.
