The Court of Cassation decided that Dreyfus was..innocent, and quashed the judgment -of the Rennes Court as er■roneens mud unjustified. "It decided that no fresh trial should be held.
The Government intend to promote Dreyfus to the rank of Major and made him a 'Chevalier of the Legion of
Honour
Picquhart is to be promoted to Briga-dier-General.
