WELLINGTON WOOL SALES.
< Dalgety and Company, Limited, Wellington, report having held' their first wool sale of the season in'the Art Gallery. The catalogue from aiy brokers were smaller than usual owing to the bad weather which has prevailed everywhere during tho past few weeks, and also the fact of the, sale being held earlier than usual. Therfe wasa good attendance of Home, foreign, and Continental buyers. Tho total number of bales catalogued was about 1500, as against about 4000 at the corresponding ' yalo of last year. Tho following gives an indication of prices realised:—Good clean halfbred and time crossbred, 10|d to ll^d; mod* ium crossbred, 9fd to 10£ d; inferior crossbred, B£d to 9|d; pieces, s^d to 7d; dead, 7^ to B£d; locks, 3d to 4d; i crutchings, 6d to 6id.
