INTEREST STILL UNDIMINISHED

The sixth night*of the Catholic Bazaar, in aid of the new church at Aramoho, passed off very satisfactorily. -Wo are pleased to be able to report that the amount in hand is well over

£500. The bazaar will be continued to--night, and will closa positively on Wednesday night, when all the large raffles, In which great interest is being taken, -will bo decided. Last night the proframme included a-vocal item by Miss iely, who was well received, and a hornpipe danco by Mr. E. Derungs and a comic item by Mr. Simpson. The Maypolo dance by the pupils of St. Joseph's "School was a popular item. Much -amusement was caused by the gents' bat trimming competition, won by Mr. Allan Hogg, Mr. M. Loftus being sec•ond. The following won raffles:— "Messrs. J. Connor, A. Stuart, E. Lomax, J. H. Russell, A. McDonald, P. Keegan, E. Flynn, D. A. Munro, Siddelte, Benefield, L. Anderson, <E. J. McLachlan, R. Dennehy, G. Pearce, A. G. Greener, J. O'Brien,. Mesdames Kitchen; W. Ayton,. Clark, Misses A. "Thomson, and O'Malley. In the guessing competition-in connection with the football match, New Zealand v.^Scot;s land, Mr. E. Derungs was first and ;Mi\ "W. :E. Buckley-second. IJhe hand "framo guessing competition was",won by Htfr. B. Kench, and Mr. Power won the -vfeight guessing competition (sucking, T>ig). ,The-bazaar Will be opened this an usual.
