STOMACH ACIDJTY. - Excessive acidity, of- the stomach contenta prevents fermentation of foods: tho food is often digested rapidly, and tho tongue as a rule is not coated, but ha;; an inflamed appearance. When there is a lack of acid the food does not digest readily, and owing to the dilation of tho organs is retained longer than it should be, and undergoes fermentation. The products of fermentation are alcohol, carbonic acid gas, etc., and these being narcotics put the nerves and muscles of tho stomach to sleep and produce partial paralysis. Theso poisons, circulating in the systsm, produce general diseases. Impey's May Apple clears tho bowels and digestive canals of fermenting matter, regulates the flow of the gastric juices, aids the digestive system, and tones up the stomach. It is good for old and young. Sold by all chemists and storekeepers at 2s. 6d. per bottle. Wholesale agents, Sharland and Co., Limited, Wellington.
