ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

BLENHEIM, September 15. Tho man, W. J. Elder, who took two boxes of matches in his tea at Picton or, Wednesday, died the same evening. At tho inquest a verdict of death from poison, self-administered, was returned. Deceased had a good income and wan not worried financially, but suffered from despondency following on an illness.
