N.Z. INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION.
(Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, September 15. The weekly official review of progress of the New Zealand International Exhibition states that a London Board of Honorary Commissioners is being appointed, to consist of Lords Onslow and Ranfurly, Sir Walter Buller, Sir Montaguo Nelson, and the High Commissioner for the colony. The Executive Commissioner proceeds to Dunedin c-arly next week to attend a meeting of citizens called by the Mayor to set up a local advising committee. It has been decided to abandon the proposal to have an original ode for the opening ceremony on November Ist, 1906, and to have a festival and the Te Deum composed by Sir Arthur Sullivan for thanksgiving service on the restoration to health of the Prince of Wales. It Avas also agreed that a band contest should bo held. It was resolved to recommend that tho foundation stone should be laid on Anniversary Day, December 18th, and that the Premier, as president, bo asked to invite the Governor, as patron, to perform the duty. Tho Premier of South Australia had promised to assist in arranging for an exhibit of South Australian wines and other local productions. An official notice of the exhibition, for circulation in Now Zealand, was issued this morning.
