(Per Press Association). INVERCARGILL, September 13. At a meeting of Liberals at Waikaia, Mi' Gilfedder, ex-M.H.R., was selected as tho Government candidate for Wakatipu. It is probable he will consent. HASTINGS, September 13. A meeting of native representatives fiom Wairarapa, Waipawa, and Hastings decided to support the candidature of Ihaia Hutana, president of the Maori Council, for the East Coast seat at the General election. He will stand in tho Government interest.
