SYDNEY, September 5. A fair amount of betting for the Epsom Handicap is being done. Maniapoto further improved his position after ilio acceptances, and after all the money available at 5 to 1-—not large
amounts—had been taken, ho left off very firm at 4 to 1. The double "the two Mamapotos" is in considerable request. P.K., as the result of backing to the tune of several thousands by Mr. Crick, has advanced to 10 to 1. Machine Gun has been knocked back to 100 to 6. For the Metropolitan, Tartan is favourite at 7 to 1, P.K. 8 to 1. \
