ORANGE BLOSSOMS
- A wedding in which considerable interest was manifested was celebrated at the residence of the bride's parents yesterday afternoon, when Mr..George Buckley, bandmaster of the Garrison Band, was marrietLfco Miss Ruth Signal, second daughter" of iMr James Signal, Qf Wanganui. The 'Rev. J. G. Chapman was the officiating clergyman. The bride, who wasl given away by her father,. wore a nice travelling costume of grey tweed with electric blue and cream trimmings. She also wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and carried a handsome bouquet of clematis and greenery. Miss Buckley, sister of the bridegroom, acted as bridesmaid, and was attired in a grey tweed costume with white trimmingsl .and black hat. She also carried a pretty boiiquet. Mr James Orichton carried out the duties of best man. At <tlhe conclusion, of the ceremony the guests were entertained at wedding breakfast in a large marque. Mr and Mjs ; Buckley, who were,the recipients of many valuable presents, left by the afternoon train en route for Dunedin, where the honeymoon is to be spent. With their many, friends we join in wishing the newly-married couple -a long and happy ; wedded life. ;. Among the presents were a handsome pair of silver reversible .entree dishes and a silver salver, on the latter being inscribed —•" To Bandmaster Buckley, from the Wanganui Garrison Band, on his marriage, Sept. sth, 1905." -
