THERMAL ACTIVITY AT ROTORUA.

Per Press Association. ROTARUA, July 31. The PcJiutu geyser at W'hakarewairewa played on Saturday morning for fifty-five minutes and in tine afternoon for thh'ty-nine minutes. It is seven months since the- previous eruption, when it played for ten hours. There is great activity at Whakarewarewa at present, all the geysers erupting. The Wairoa geyser, since last soaping, has been unusually active. The force was sufficient to remove the lid from the mouth of the Pohutu and throw water to a 'height, df a hundred and ten feet, and the■ Pohntu cauldron to a height of twenty feet.
