Tho assassini." . a of Count Sehotivaloff is a former suspect whose identity is unknown. He waited until the other petitioners withdrew, and then fired five poisoned bullets at the Prefect. Three entered his body, and Sehouvaloff succumbed in an hour. The fourth bullet wounded M. Scheider, a prefectorial official. The assassin was airested.
