AUCKLAND, November 30. The damage done by the fresh at Kaihu on Monday evening is greater than was expected. The foundations of Trounsen's mill -were much strained. Heavy .timber (refuse coveredl the railway line from 6 feet to B.feet Mgh. One bridge is almost completely destroyed, and it will be about a. month before timber can be brought from Kaihu bushes. It is estimated that t'hie damage to the line -wiiiO. be from £800 to £1000.
