T^he girls employed at the Ciirzon Cotton Mills, AGhton-under-Lyne, have struck, refusing to clean the machinery after hours. Eighy fresh girls have been engaged at Oldham. One thousand sympathisers with the strikers threw bricks, stones, and pepper at the "blacklegs."
