STRIKE AMONG FACTORY GIRLS.

T^he girls employed at the Ciirzon Cotton Mills, AGhton-under-Lyne, have struck, refusing to clean the machinery after hours. Eighy fresh girls have been engaged at Oldham. One thousand sympathisers with the strikers threw bricks, stones, and pepper at the "blacklegs." Hundreds of police lhad great difficulty in protecting them on the journey from the nii^ls to their homes. They were conveyed in omnibuses with th© windows boo rded up.
