In the Arbitration Court, the General Labourers' "Union, charged Graham and Greig, builders, wijt'h & breach of award in dismissing a umionist whaleretaining three nion-ijniouii-tis on a jab. The case was id'ismisi&edj on the grounds that .tiie three mien were specially employed, but incidental reference was made to the preference clause in tihe labourers' agreement. It states merely thaifc preference must be given to undon:ste, and the Court, characterised this ©is* the vaguest preteirenoe clause ithe Court had seen m an industrial 'agreement, and one Which made understandings easily possible. • .
