AN UNSOLVED MYSTERY

He personally thanked the kind donor through the medium of his Answers to Correspondence column). Next morning came a letter from "Constant Reader" (Sloptonj-on-the-Slosh). It ran:—"Dear Mr Editor, —By an earlier ,potst> I semib you a ■c-^ickemi. It has been a source of much discussion amongst a few of us, and we have, decided to let you settle the dispute. What we want to know is this—what did it die of?"
ATLANTIC CITY (N.J.), U.S.A.. January 19.—John D. Rockefeller, the Standand oil multi-millionaire, offered Dr Philip Marvel, a local physician, two hundred thousand pounds if he would provide him with a. healthy stomach. Mr. Rockefeller nemiarked to him that if the doctor oould pub his digestive apparatus in good working condition it would be worth this amount to him. ,
