Splendid weather agalin greeted the above, and despite unfavourable conditions, owing principally to the sloppy, umanetailed lower Kai iFwi road, a large crowd 01 ridleore and drivers journeyed to Mr. J. Blair's "Rapanui," where the unieet took place on Saturday last. At 2.30 p.m. the hounds threw off opposite Mr. J. B. Murray's, took us ov-ji-tliree large .giorse and a wire fence, into Mr. A. J. White's, oof to the road, into P. R. Jacksoni and Co.'s, then a> gorse an 1 two more wire fences, ■across th© roadi into Mr. Millward'Sj another wire into Mr Hills, finishing with two doubles on Mr. Blair's lawtn, a lovely run of close on three miles. After refreshers all round, the second run began from the road into Mr. Walker's, /through Iris sheep yards into Mr. Hill's, then took the road, double into Mr. Blair's, across goavse fences into Mr Coopen's, towards the sea., doubling back ove^1 four fine hedges, finishing with, the double on to Mr. Blair's lawn again, the thirty odd followers givingl the many spectators a lovely exhibition of jumping over the beautiful .hunting country. A move was then anadle for the hjouse, where all regaled themselves with tea and refreshments, kindly provided by Mrs. and the Misses Blair, and Mr. J. H._Nixon, the president, who, excellent spoil; that ue is, unfailingly tunas out to every meet, ja a sjpeech, thanked, on behalf of the club. Mr. J. Blair and the aboys-saentioaed farmers for tbeir sportsmanlike spirit "in which they had lent their paddocks', and the hostesses for the way they hadl entertained, the large following. , Amongst the followers I noticed Messrs.
