The United dub owned their season last Saturday on Cook's Gardens, when teams ipicked by the president and vice-president tried conclusions, the game re&ultin^ in a ■win for the former team by 13 runs. For the winners Luiford (32) and Tomsitt (13) inlade the besM; scores,; as djd McNoJfctv' (17); Martin (14), inft Smith ~ (13) for the losers. Luxford showed good form.1 with the bat, getting his rams by hard hitting and clean drives. McNattty. Martin, = and Smith should greatly trouble the bowlers in the coming matches. The bowling on both sides was weak, and it behoves every member to get into careful practice at once so that the Club may uphold its record during the coming season. During the season a ball will be presented by Mr Goffe to the bowler getting the best average, he having to play in at least two-thirds of the matches. Mr Goldsbury also offers a pair of batting gloves to the player obtaining the highest individual score over 50. Mr Luxford has also donated a bat to the player detaining the highest baling- av&rage during the season in senior matches, the player to play in at least two-thirds of the matches played. ,
