Doings of Parliament.

WELLINGTON, Oct. 4.

The schedule of business transacted during the session shows that 32 Select Committees were set up. 93 Bills received Royal assent, 4 Public Bills were dropped or otherwise disposed of. 1 private bill received Royal assent, and one was dropped. 487

petitions were presented, 889 questions were asked of Ministers. 224 papers were laid on the table, and' 314 reports were received from Select Committees.

The House met on 57 days, the average length of daily sittings being eight hours 7 minutes.
