"VfGTICE is hereby given that a Poll will J-> be taken on SATURDAY, the 11th day of October, 1902, in Mr Wadmaii's House, Okoia, for the Purua Riding, and in Mr Thomas Higgie's House. Okoia, for the [Kaukatea Riring, under "The Local Bodies. Loans Act, 1901, upon the proposal to raisa a Loan for the purpose of acquiring land for a road to connect Okoia, with Matarawa, and forming and. metalling and providing necessary culverts for the said road. . The sum it is proip»s2<l to borrow for the purpose is £1000. It is proposed to pledge as security for such Loan a. Special Rate of one half-penny in the £ upon the Rateable Property of the Matarawa Special Rating District, the boundaries of which are as follow: —■ Commencing at the point where the Eastern Boundary of Section 127, Block VDI., Ikitara Survey District, and proceedig thence in a northerly direction along the Eastern Boundary of said Section 127 127 and Section 126, same block, to the northeastern corner of Section 128, same Block, thence along the, Southern Boundary of Section 270,' same Block, arid the Southern' Bounbariea of Sections Nos. 315 and 316, V Block VIII., Ikitara Survey District, to South-eastern corner of said "'& Section 316, thence along the southwestern, North-eastern, and Northwestern Boundaries of said Section 3i6, to the South-eastern corner o c Section 322, same Block, thence along the Eastern. Such Spseialßate shall! ba an Annual Rate during the currency of said Loan, being a period of forty-one (41). years, or until the Loan is fully ipaid off, and that such' rats shall be payable halfyearly, on the first day of April, and the first day of October in each and every year.
