INGLEWOOD, October 3.
A meeting of delegates1 of the N.ew Zealand Farmers' Union from branches in the Kg-mont electorate was held here yesterday. It' was decided not to nominate a candidate, but to take a ballot of ail branches for those nominated, and report the num.l ber at a meeting of delegates.. to be. held here afterwards, the majority of votes to decide the Fanners' Unions' candidate. HAWERA, October 3.
Delegates from the Farmers' Union branches in the Patea electorate decided to organise in view of the ©lections, and submit questions to candidat s, answers to be returnable in a fortnight. Mr. Boddlic's name is mentioned as a likely candidate. The delegates of the branches in the Hawera electorate aMsa met. At the outset there was a diversity of opinion, some delegates holdling Union members should not as a body support a. particular candidate, but have freedom tot vote for any candidate who subscribed to the Union platform. Eventually Messrs. Dive, Astbury, and Parlane were nominated by the branches. Questions will be submitted to all declared) candidates, and a selection will be made at the meeting in a fortnight..
