NEW YORK, October 1.
Owing to the tightness of money in New York heavy sales of railway sharesmade, a panic appear imminent. The Treasury released 40 million dollars by announcing that the Banks did not require td carry a reserve against the Government deposits secured by Government bonds. This resulted in the immediate rally of stocks.
