Great interest was taken in the match played yesterday by the Wanganui Ladies' Golf Club for Mrs. Burnett's prizes!. The wind wa.%.very much against the playera going cut, but some excellent holes were recorded coming back. Mrs. Sarjean* (captain) and MLss Jackson (handicap 12) tied far the first prize, and Miss Griffiths., (handicap 9) *asily won the seconu prize. A few of the best cards returned are:— Seniors—Mrs. Sarjeant 93 {handicap 12), 81 ; Miss Jacksion 93 (handicap 12), 81 ; Mrs. D'Arcy 87 (handicap 5), 82; Mies Taylor 99 (handicap 14), 85; Miss Cave 83 (owe 3) 86; Mrs. Barnricoat 86----(sci'atch), 86. Juniors.—MissGriffitbs 75 (ho/nldicaip 9), 66; Miss Christie 79 (handicap 5), 74; Miss Jsy. Anderson 90 (handicap 8), 82; Miss M. Stewart 96 (handicap 14), 82; Miss E. Chi-istie 88 (handicap 5), 83; Miss Duncan 98 (handicap 14), 84. The result of the putting match held1 la't Wednesday was a tie between Mrs. Greig and Mi*e H. Cofwper. In the play off Mies Cowper wctn by one stroke.
