CHRIST CHURCH CRICKET CLUB.
A well-attended meeting o the above was held in tihe olub's rooms on Tuesday evening, when over 40 names were handed in for active membership for the forthcoming season. A deputation!, consisting of Messrs. Dymiock, Lewis, and Delves, was appointed: toi wait upon the Board of Control of Cook's Gardens with a view of obtaining a practice pitch on the said grounds. The club have been successful in obtaining permission to use the Racecourse, and it is desiredi that all members; and intending members of the Cricket Club should commence practice at once. Senior and junior teams will be formed for both Saturdays and Thursdays, and all intending members are requested to send in their names to the secretary. A full meeting is called for Tuesday next, 23rd instaait, for the purpose of electing committee, captains, etc. Mr. A. Geddes was appointed hon. secretary.
