MAJOR POLSON.
BLENHEIM, Sept, 13. Major Poison, D.5.0., who was captain in the Fifth Contingent, and held a command in the Eighth, was farewelled at the RailKvay Station last night by a large crowd, on the occasion of his departure for South Africa, to settle down there. At a social gathering on the previous evening. Captain Poison was given a sendof by the Volunteers and citizens, and the ~D.iS.O. medal was pinned on his breast by Mrs Captain Powell.
