ATTEMPTED HIGHWAY ROB BERY.

SYDNEY, November 23. Another daring attempt at highway lobbery was made at Botany. A splendidlymounted man attacked an accountant of a boot factory and his companion, who were conveying wages from the Bank. The accountant bolted, pursued hotly by the robber, who fired his revolver continuously. When the accountant got away the robber maintained a revolver duel with his companion, who was armed. Assistance arriving, the highwayman escaped.
